Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, W1D 4HT , [Venue Details]Sarah Tandy is a unique voice in London's thriving jazz community, who has gained a reputation as a formidable and dynamic performer.
Sarah’s talents have seen her much in demand, and she has worked with acts as diverse as Nubya Garcia, Yussef Dayes, Binker Golding, Jazz Jamaica, Femi Koleoso, Camilla George, Basement Jaxx and Jazz Jamaica.
Originally a classically trained pianist, she released her debut EP on the jazz re:freshed label in 2019. Widely acclaimed, she was nominated for Jazz FM Breakthrough Act of the Year and went on to receive the Parliamentary Jazz Award for Best Instrumentalist.
During the touring hiatus in 2020, she took time to study music production and electronic music, which eventually led to the creation of her debut full-length album Delicious Capricious. Due for release in Autumn 2026, this show will present music from the album. Expect an eclectic mix of freewheeling jazz, psychedelic funk, deep grooves and London swagger.
